Introducing “Mufasa: The Lion King”
Disney is bringing us “Mufasa: The Lion King,” a prequel to the 2019 photorealistic remake of “The Lion King.” This new movie features Blue Ivy Carter as part of the voice cast.

The film is directed by Barry Jenkins, known for his work on “Moonlight.” “Mufasa” explores the origin story of Mufasa, showing his childhood and relationship with his brother Taka, who later becomes known as Scar.
Voice Cast
Aaron Pierre voices the young Mufasa, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. voices the young Scar. In the past, James Earl Jones voiced Mufasa in both the 1994 original and the 2019 remake. Scar was voiced by Jeremy Irons in 1994 and Chiwetel Ejiofor in 2019.
Storyline
The story is told through flashbacks, narrated by Rafiki to Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter. Timon and Pumbaa also join in with their usual humor. The film starts with Mufasa as an orphaned cub who meets Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. Their journey involves overcoming challenges and forming strong bonds while facing a deadly foe.
